Creation of a Romanian-German Insurance Partnership
Legal assistance and representation of the client before the Romanian competent authorities and drafting legal opinions related to the insurance activity in Romania and the legal procedures required for the establishment of an insurance company, legal researches and analyses regarding life and general insurances.
Participation in the “Selection of an expert/a group of experts or an organization” to prepare the study on “Development and diversified evolution of the insurance market in the Republic of Moldova considering the negotiations of the forthcoming free trade agreement to be signed between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union”.
The project’s objective was to assess the impact caused by the signing of the “Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova” on the Moldavian insurance market, through:
Evaluation of the regulatory insurance-related background as a whole and tracking the systemic inadequacies which prevent the development of this sector;
Analysis of the supervision process and instruments by the relevant regulator in the industry;

Expert legal advice provided to S.C. Asigurarea Românească “ASIROM” S.A. (VIG) regarding the insurance/ reinsurance activity carried out by the company in and from Romania as well as regarding tax issues and corporate legislation applicable to the insurance-reinsurance activity;
Legal assistance and advice provided to Proactiv Holding AG – Germania regarding insurance activity in Romania as well as legal procedures for the establishment of an insurance company.

1. Drafting the deeds and documentation required for the performance and completion of the procedures for the authorisation of the insurer’s incorporation and, respectively, operation, in accordance with the Romanian relevant legislation applicable to insurances/reinsurances, according to the European Directives and norms, as well as the regulations specific to EXIMBANK activity.
2. Legal assistance or representation of the client before the Romanian supervisory, regulatory and control authority (CSA), as well as/ or before any other persons or authorities /institutions or courts, as the case may be.
