Bostina and Associates - new office in Chisinau
Bostina and Associates has started the authorization and licensing process required to reopen the Chisinau office, in the Republic of Moldova.
The law firm operated an office in Chisinau between 2002 and 2006 but this was closed amid the deterioration of the political and economic relationships between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
Managing Partner Doru Catalin Bostina: “Given the recent changes in Chisinau, Moldova might become a more enticing investment destination for foreigners. That is why after a four-year absence we have decided to reopen there. We’ve learned a valuable lesson from our previous failed experience, so this time we will closely follow a clearer business plan. Moreover, we are fully determined to better position ourselves on the business consultancy niche market. The EU might adopt a more actively role in helping Moldova’s economy and might fund projects designed to increase the standard of living in this part of Europe. Amid this background, our expertise in institution building and accessing EU funds might prove extremely valuable.”
“Boştină and Associates” Chisinau office will mainly advise on institution building, infrastructure projects, international and European financing. It is expected that the two or three lawyer-strong team will effectively start in early September, 2010, and –operation-wise - will report to Cezar Guşu, Partner and coordinator of the law firm’s international offices.
It is most likely that soon afterwards “Boştină Associates Financial Consulting” – the company specializing in accessing EU funds – will open a representative office in Chisinau too.
