Boştină and Associates was declared the winner of the open tender organized by S.C. COMPLEXUL ENERGETIC ROVINARI S.A. for the award of the contract “Legal advice on the project “The establishment of an IPP joint venture for the construction of a new 500 MW energy group at the Rovinari Power Plant””. The investment will amount to roughly €1bn and will be co-financed by the State-owned electricity producer and another investor.
Boştină and Associates will advise the contracting authority on selecting the investors willing to participate in the new joint venture’s establishment, on negotiations with such selected investors and on the incorporation of the company.

The purpose of the legal assistance contract is fully compliant with the Procedure for Green/Brown Field Projects, as the company to be established is an IPP involving contribution in kind consisting of assets owned by trading companies and national companies in the MCMA (the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment) portfolio, and also contribution in cash - by a potential investor - approved by order of the Minister of Economy and Commerce.
